The default Desktop Manager on raspberry is lightdm

To enable lightdm on boot: raspi-config => System Options => Boot / Auto Login => Desktop. Then, reboot.

The files that have the sessions available are at /usr/share/xsessions (lxde, i3, etc…)

The default session is configured for each user, at ~/.dmrc
